We had family visiting for the Thanksgiving and decided to try an airboat tour. We opted to schedule with Midway based on referrals from family and friends. Turned out to be a great experience from beginning to end! The online scheduling and payment was a breeze, which made the check-in even quicker. There were several things to look at while waiting for our reservation time including live animals (beautiful snakes and birds) as well as merchandise and souvenirs to choose from. The boats were well maintained and clean and the headsets made for easy listening when Captain Tony shared his extensive knowledge during the tour. We saw several alligators, birds and even a very brief glimpse of a manatee as well as a deer. The section of the tour into the cypress grove was very interesting and beautiful with a few wild orchids and some Roseate Spoonbills. My sister even had a close encounter with a tiny little tree frog (adorable). Love the times Captain Tony went faster and turned the boat (exciting) and we were all impressed with his managing of the boat. He had a great sense of humor! The option of holding the baby gator at the end was a awesome treat! Overall a fantastic adventure that we will absolutely do again!
